I've got a looooooooooong way to go as a seamstress, but I did actually finish something!! Little Angel #1 loves it so much that she wore it four days in a row!

Wow! Yay for you! Sewing with littles underfoot is not an easy task. That sundress is TOO cute! No wonder Mags loves it!

I pretty much don't work at sewing until after they are in bed. I am definitely just a beginner sewer...I decided to start b/c LA #1 has outgrown the cute little girl clothes and is on to the sizes of teeny-bopper wanna-be clothes. It's also a nice hobby. I've found that picking up a few hobbies has helped me to relax more.

Yeah, a friend warned me that when they hit size 3, clothing companies start trying to dress your little angels like strippers. I've made a lot of pretty things for the girls, but I've also discovered some nice finds at consignment sales. (I guess the trashy clothes don't last as long...) Knowing other Catholic families with girls who are just a little bit older than yours is helpful too -- we're given so many bags of clothes each season we end up giving over half of it away! I wish I could sew more, but getting MODEST hand-me-downs is an acceptable second choice. :)
